Can I know how old was the Prophet Adam AS when he passed away, for I hear there are various opinions on the matter. There is an opinion which state that he was 1000 years old. Is this true?

Alhamdulillah, praise and thanks to Allah for the countless blessings He has blessed us all with. Blessings and salutations to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, his wives, his family, companions and all those that follow his teachings to the day of judgement.
After reviewing several references, we find that the strong opinion states that the Prophet Adam AS was 1000 years old. There is an opinion which states that he was 960 years old.
However, we chose the opinion which state that the Prophet Adam AS was 1000 years old. This is according to Tafsir al-Tabari (13/239), Tafsir al-Kabir oleh al-Razi (1/2081), Tafsir Ibn Kathir (1/722), Kanz al-‘Ummal fi Sunan al-Aqwal wa al-Af’al (6/134) and al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah by Ibn Kathir (1/67).
May Allah SWT grant us the correct understanding regarding our religion. Amin.
